Zinc Cafe- Not That Great

the patio is wonderful, the cafe is cute, but the food and service...not impressed. i have been there 2 times and the first time i went around 12:45pm and ordered the eggplant sandwich. they told me they were out. so i ordered mediterranean sandwich instead ($7.25). it was just okay. it was on rye bread filled with roasted tomatoes, pesto,smoked gouda and arugula...sounds good but was a little dry and flavorless. the service was horrible too. another person at our table ordered a sandwich and they forgot to bring it. we had to remind them 10 minutes later. they did offer a free dessert. we passed. so, a few months later i found myself in CDM again and thought i would give zinc another try. i was with 2 other people and we walked in at 1:30. once again, i tried to order the eggplant sandwich. once again they were out...and as a matter of fact, they were out of ALL of their sandwiches. so, we walked out and i don't give 3rd chances.
